I recently had the pleasure of meeting David Bach- the author of many best selling financial books (the Finish Rich series and the Automatic Millionaire series). David was a guest speaker in one of my graduate school classes and was the most knowledgeable, captivating, and motivating speaker I’ve ever seen. The day after listening to his financial-advice-filled speech, I increased my 401K contribution! He’s that convincing!
I was just searching the pages of David’s website and I came across a fantastic (and free) financial tool that I’d like to share with all of you- the DOLP (Dead On Last Payment) calculator. This calculator will tell you the most efficient way to pay off your credit card debt. It is simple to use and will help you save on your interest payments!

The debt is everywhere. The big companies were bailed out. But now the individual is facing the same credit problems but there is not the money to bail out everyone. The combination of over spending on things we do not need and the credit companies doing all these dirty things combine to create a credit crisis.
My husband and I filed bankruptcy 7 years ago. It wasn’t over credit cards, it was over car loans and a huge loan that we used our land as collateral. Since then we have both gone to college to get a degree so that we would make enough money. Now that the job market is in a slump, having a college education doesn’t seem worth it.

According to the announcement, pre-existing 0% balance transfers and outstanding credit card balances do not have to be paid back right away and can be paid down at the cardholder’s own pace per the cardholder’s credit card agreement. But this really sucks.

I just got my letter from Advanta today. Real nice of them to give us a whole 3 days to find a new card. I was very satisfied with my card, but this was very poor business on their part. Advanta members barely have time to apply for much less receive a new card from another company before they cancel our Advanta card. I had used mine for all of our gas purchases and most of our day to day business purchases. Thanks Advanta. Real classy.
Getting a credit card holder is simple. Nevertheless we overlook that if we do not pay our liabilities promptly excess use of these cards may bring higher debts trouble.
